This article reviews a Thai Airway's flight TG663, which departs from Shanghai, China (PVG) to Bangkok, Thailand (BKK). There are a plenty of airline companies with flights between Shanghai and Bangkok, both full-service and low-cost carriers. I usually fly with AirAsia to save money, but a reasonable TG round-trip ticket was fortunately available this time, and that is how I chose TG.
Summary
- Not recommended to have a big meal before the flight
- Individual in-flight entertainment and a usb port are available
- A substantial amount of in-flight meal is served
Before the Flight
I do not recommend you have big breakfast before the flight. A good-amount in-flight meal (mentioned below) will be served approximately in an hour after the departure.Me? Not knowing that, had too much food at a lounge and could hardly eat the in-flight meal...
Equipment

The equipment used for TG663 is Airbus 330-3, a wide body plane with indivisual in-flight entertainment. You can enjoy movies, music etc. during the 4.5-hour flight, but I myself spent almost all the time sleeping because required to get up as early as 5:00am to catch the flight...

A USB port to charge your gadgets is available on this flight.
In-flight Meal

You can enjoy a substantial in-flight meal on TG663. There were two options for the main dish: chicken rice or pork noodles. The others were bread, yogurt, orange jelly and fresh fruits.

Regarding drinks, you can order hot water if you like (I just do so affected by my Chinese friends), but note that it takes a while to be served. This is because they do not have hot water on their drink carts, and need to get your cup filled at the back yard only after serving the other passangers.
Other

One of the in-flight entertainment programs for kids. This might be more interesting for infants than watching movies.
